Recently, I had the opportunity to list a truly interesting place in Kyanja, Kampala, on the BixyStays app.
Like many of the properties we feature, our team first visits the location to inspect and confirm everything before it goes live. We take this process seriously. We verify the exact location, confirm we are dealing with the actual host or landlord, and assess things like accessibility, security, road conditions, cleanliness, and overall maintenance.
This time, we were invited to inspect Ivy Homes, located along Kyanja Ring Road.
Normally, these visits follow a familiar routine. We arrive as a team, capture professional photos for the host, and produce two videos. She said UGX 250,000, roughly 75 dollars.
I told her to take my money. I was already convinced I needed to spend a night there.
